Moments of Encounter
The moments of encounter are planned to provide an experience of “wholesomeness”, a spark to favor conversation, testimonials, and practical experiences seeking to reignite the realization of our mission. This happens upon the breaking of bread in the Eucharistic Liturgy when those nourished by the Body and Blood of Christ become disciples and missionaries.
The moments of encounter have been discerned to respond to areas of pastoral need and personal longing for attendees of all backgrounds and realities.
Charity in Service
Encountering Christ after the Eucharistic Celebration
This moment is about how the Eucharist helps us to serve those in need. Serving those in need is not easy. It requires compassion, courage, and effort. Where do we get the compassion to serve those in need? We get it from the Eucharist. Charity is another word for love and Jesus said, “love one another” (John 13:34). How did Jesus teach us to show our love for one another? By having compassion and serving them. Learn more about how the Eucharist helps us to serve others in this moment of encounter.
Who is this for? This encounter is for families, young adults, and single people who want to get more involved in community. All who want to embrace the ministry of charity are welcome!

The Action of God working through, with, and in His People
This moment is about how the Eucharist connects us directly to the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross during the celebration of Mass. Our participation in Mass is the way that we unite with Jesus to gain strength to be better disciples in our daily lives. During Mass, Jesus gives us the Eucharist as the food we need on the journey to eternal life. Learn more about our deep connection to the Eucharist when we participate in Mass in this moment of encounter.
Young Adults & Vocations
Go Forth and BE the Eucharist!
This moment is about how the Eucharist helps us to be holy and to live with purpose. What does it mean to be holy? It doesn’t mean being perfect. Saints were holy but none of them were perfect. To be holy means to be dedicated to God in everything we do. How do we stay dedicated to Jesus in the good times and in the bad? In our homes, at school, in our jobs? Learn more about how the Eucharist helps us live our call to holiness in this moment of encounter.
Who is this for? This encounter is for young adults discerning their call to holiness, or for any adult interested in exploring the Eucharist as the center of all vocations. Please bring a smart device and headphones for this moment of encounter.
