For the past four years, San Fernando Cathedral has sponsored a Eucharistic Procession from San Fernando to St. Francesco Di Paola Church immediately following their noon Mass on the Feast of Corpus Christi Sunday to give public witness to the Real Presence of Jesus in the Holy Eucharist.

Last year, with the encouragement of Archbishop Gustavo GarcĆa-Siller, MSpS, San Fernando Cathedral invited the entire archdiocese to participate, to make this holy festival of the Corpus Christi a very special event, with as many members of the Body of Christ to sing, honor and praise Our Lord present in the Blessed Sacrament.

To make this event joyous and glorious, the faithful brought flower petals to decorate the path so that we could reverence Our Lord with the beauty and fragrance of his own creation. All in the archdiocese, clergy, religious and laity, to come together again as the Body of Christ. Faithful will be lined up all along the entire procession route with continuous songs of praise.

As the Lord arrives, flower petals will be placed on the path at the feet of the Lord. Following the procession will be Benediction at San Francesco Church.

The event will begin immediately after the noon Mass at San Fernando. The faithful are asked to find a place along the procession route by 12:30 p.m. To find out the exact route of the procession when it is finalized, visit San Fernando Cathedralā€™s website at www.sfcathedral.org. Volunteers will be positioned on every block that will be identified wearing red T-shirts with a Gold Monstrance on the front, to assist in any way possible.
