St. Mary’s University Alumni Association gives $1.5 million to Center for Catholic Studies

The St. Mary’s University Alumni Association has given $1.5 million to endow the St. Mary’s Alumni Association Chair in Catholic Leadership and an additional $500,000 to support the renovation of historic Reinbolt Hall.

The 28th Annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Citywide Interfaith Worship Service, hosted by the MLK Commission of San Antonio, took place at Temple Beth-El on Jan. 18, with the event again featuring a noticeable Catholic contingent.

A bilingual pro-life Mass was celebrated by Archbishop Gustavo García-Siller, MSpS, on the feast of the Baptism of the Lord, Jan. 11, prior to a training session for parish leaders who want to be more engaged in the social mission of the church. The liturgy and educational gathering took place at the Church of the Holy Spirit.
