Parent, Volunteer

St. Gerard Catholic High School

Gina Rodriguez has been volunteering in Catholic schools since 1997. Her love and dedication to service has been distributed between St. Joseph’s, St. James, and St. Gerard schools. She and her husband have sacrificed for many years to put their two daughters through kindergarten and 12th grades in Catholic schools. Their oldest child Andrea graduated in 2011 and their youngest Alexandria will graduate next May, both at St. Gerard. She is an exemplary Christian mother who made sure that her children received all their sacraments. Her family attends both St. Lawrence and St. Henry parishes. She is very supportive of a strong Catholic climate on campus. She is employed full-time at Sam’s Clubs as a clerk in the Claims/Receiving Department. Her full-time job does not keep her from serving as the secretary in the PTC organization. Additionally, she is presently the co-chairperson for the school’s second annual gala event. She is frequently seen working the gate at sports games and selling concessions at volleyball or basketball games. Every Wednesday that she has off from work she works in the front office at the school. She answers the phones, types, and files. She also helps out the cafeteria when needed. She frequently chaperones for school dances and field trips. She consistently donates bottled water, snacks, and soft drinks to the school through her employer. Every shipment is completely free. She is greatly loved by the student body for her tremendous involvement and generosity. Her compassion and warmth are felt by all who know her. Ms. Gina, as the students affectionately call her, is a tremendous blessing to St. Gerard’s. Ms. Gina has a heart of gold and a contagious smile.
