Are you called to serve God by serving others? Do you feel the desire to use your time and talent to build the Kingdom of God? All of us have special talents or gifts, which are a sign of the power and majesty of God, who can do all things. These talents and gifts are not given to us just for our own use, but are given to us for the enrichment of the lives of others and so that we can serve God better. St. Peter in his first epistle tells us, “Each one of you has received a special grace, so like good stewards responsible for all these different graces of God, put yourselves at the service of others.”

The Department for Pastoral Ministries hosts the Archdiocesan “Pastoral Ministries Ambassadors” program as part of our efforts to make Disciples and Missionaries of Jesus Christ by providing service opportunities. Volunteers are essential in fulfilling the mission to serve the People of God. Volunteers within the Archdiocese are encouraged to share their faith as well as their talents while performing volunteer service. We pray that you are encouraged to partake in this mission by volunteering your valuable gifts as we work together as one body to make disciples and missionaries of Jesus Christ.

On-Going Volunteer Opportunites

We are always looking for volunteer to be involved by serving our community. Types of volunteer duties include:

• Clerical support
• General hospitality (musicians, attendants, greeters, etc.)
• Check-in/Registration, desk assistants
• Liturgical ministry: Ushers, greeters, lectors, Eucharistic ministers
• Event setup & packaging, event teardown
• Phone support
• Speakers and presenters
• Prayerful support

¿Se siente llamado a servir a Dios sirviendo a otros? ¿Siente el deseo de usar su tiempo y talentos para construir el Reino de Dios? Todos tenemos talentos o dones especiales, que son una señal del poder y la majestuosidad de Dios. Estos talentos y dones no se nos dan solo para nuestro propio uso, sino que se nos dan para el enriquecimiento de las vidas de los demás y para que podamos servir mejor a Dios. San Pedro en su primera epístola nos dice: “Cada uno de ustedes ha recibido una gracia especial, así que, como buenos administradores responsables de todas estas diferentes gracias de Dios, pónganse al servicio de los demás”.

El Departamento de Ministerios Pastorales ofrece el programa arquidiocesano de “Embajadores de los Ministerios Pastorales” como parte de nuestros esfuerzos por hacer Discípulos y Misioneros de Jesucristo proporcionando oportunidades de servicio. Los voluntarios en la Arquidiócesis son alentados a compartir tanto su fe como sus talentos mientras sirven. Oramos para que se sienta motivado a formar parte de nuestra misión a través del servicio voluntario de sus talentos mientras juntos como un mismo cuerpo transformamos en discípulos y misioneros de Jesucristo a quienes servimos.
