Vacation Bible School Financial Assistance

Return to Institute Home Page

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL CURRICULUM IS MADE POSSIBLE BY THE GENEROUS DONORS OF THE ARCHBISHOP’S APPEAL.

A parish may apply for VBS assistance every year. If your application is approved, this fund will contribute a portion of the cost of your Vacation Bible School curriculum. Ancillary items such as CDs, prizes, t-shirts, and promotional materials will not be funded by the Archbishop’s Appeal. Please do not purchase materials first and then ask for reimbursement.

Please keep in mind that we will only fund Catholic VBS Programs. For example: Group Publishing, Inc., and Standard Publishing are non-denominational providers and do not qualify for this funding. Please be sure of your publisher before you apply for assistance! Unlike religious education text series, VBS materials are supplementary programs and are not therefore eligible for “conformity” status from the USCCB. They must, however, carry a nihil obstat/imprimatur.

You will be notified of the approval status of your application within one month of the submission date. Invoices must be received by the Institute no later than 60 days from date of invoice. Otherwise, the Institute is not responsible for payment. The Institute will make a payment directly to the publisher for the amount awarded. The balance is the responsibility of the parish. The parish will be notified when payment is sent to the publisher. Shipping and handling costs are not payable by the Archbishop’s Appeal grant.
