An Invitation from Archbishop Gustavo
Archbishop Gustavo Garcia-Siller, MSpS, invites you to celebrate the Solemnity of Pentecost! Pentecost marks the descent of the Holy Spirit upon Mary and the Apostles—a feast often referred to as the birthday of the Church. Pentecost is a time of spiritual renewal and the outpouring of God’s grace upon His people. As we commemorate the 150th Anniversary of the Archdiocese, we give thanks to God for the Holy Spirit’s blessings upon the local Church.

Join us for the Archdiocesan Pentecost Vigil Mass at Church of the Holy Spirit on May 18 at 5 p.m. We are excited to have Archbishop Gustavo Garcia-Siller, MSpS, lead us in this holy celebration. As we gather to worship, we anticipate a transformative experience of the Holy Spirit’s presence among us.

A Special Invitation to New and Fully Initiated Catholics
Did you celebrate Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist at the Easter Vigil? Did you join the Catholic Church through a Profession of Faith? Archbishop Gustavo wishes to celebrate the Eucharist with all newly initiated Catholics. He wants to share the true presence of Jesus Christ with you in Holy Communion so that, through the power of the Holy Spirit, we may continue to walk united in Christ. Please join us along with your godparents, family, and friends.

Pray the Consecration to the Holy Spirit
As we prepare for the Pentecost Vigil Mass, we encourage you to pray the Consecration to the Holy Spirit found on the Pentecost Vigil Prayer Card. This prayer was written by Fr. Felix de Jesus Rougier, MSpS, the founder of Archbishop Gustavo’s religious congregation—the Missionaries of the Holy Spirit.

Pentecost Novena | May 10-18 | Follow along each day with the videos below

To prepare for the Solemnity of Pentecost, Archbishop Gustavo invites you to pray the Pentecost Novena with him every day from Friday, May 10 to Saturday, May 18. A novena is a nine-day period of public or private prayer to obtain special graces, make special petitions, or to spiritually prepare for an upcoming celebration in the Church. The Pentecost Novena comes from chapter 1 of the book of Acts where Mary and the Apostles pray continuously for nine consecutive days after Christ’s ascension into heaven. On the tenth day, the Holy Spirit descended upon them.
