A recent statistic showed that 99% of deaf people in the United States are not affiliated with any church or religious congregation at all. Often liturgies and catechetical programs do not have the resources available to provide qualified interpreters for the deaf community. However, even as more interpreters are made available to interpret liturgies, the deaf community still hungers for catechesis outside the Mass in order to explain what the Church teaches to others in the deaf community.
Our Mission
Our mission is to invite the Deaf Community into a relationship with God through His Church, uphold their dignity as equal participants in the life of the Church, and empower them to help preserve Catholic Deaf Culture within the Archdiocese of San Antonio.

Requests must be submitted at least two weeks in advance of the date services are needed to have time to secure an interpreter.
