The Seraphic Sisters and residents of St. Francis Nursing Home welcomed Archbishop Gustavo García-Siller, MSpS, on November 27 to celebrate the Eucharist and he shared a heartfelt reflection on the true meaning of thanksgiving, inspiring those there to embrace the holiday with gratitude and love.
“As we gather to pray in thanksgiving, let us remember that true thanksgiving is not just about receiving; it is about giving. As beggars, we ask God for His grace,” said the archbishop. “As givers, we share His blessings with others, especially those in need. This dual call – to receive and to give – mirrors Christ’s own life and invites us into deeper communion with Him.”
