“We pray with Christian hope that they may be with him in Paradise, as we wait to be together again in that mystery of love which we do not comprehend, but which we know to be true because it is a promise that Jesus made. We will all rise again and we will all be forever with Jesus, with Him.”- Pope Francis

Dear Friend:

I offer prayers of thanksgiving to God for you and your generosity to the Church and the Archdiocese of San Antonio. Your bigheartedness and compassion have been vital and immensely valuable. Thank you for your hard work, dedication and care, as we could not have done many of our projects and ministries without your kindness.

When we recite the Apostle’s Creed, we say, “I believe in the Communion of Saints,” we proclaim that we believe that the community of saints is formed by all those who have received God’s grace, not only the living, but those who are already gazing at the face of God in heaven. Remembering our loved ones who have gone before us, I invite you once again to send me the names of your deceased loved ones, and I will place them in a prayer basket on the Day of the Dead altar at the Pastoral Ministry Center. I will keep your loved ones in my personal prayers through the month of November. May all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen! You can send your prayers through regular mail, at the address provided below or online.

I want to continue hearing from you, tell me how you are or send me any other prayer request now or at any time of the year; I pray for each one of them during my personal prayer time. May Jesus, through the intercession of Our Lady of Guadalupe, continue to bless you and your family with good health, joy in abundance, and peace of heart.

Sincerely yours in Christ,
Most Reverend Gustavo García-Siller, M.Sp.S.
Archbishop of San Antonio
