Father Jaime Renteria-Torres, MNM, pastor for many years at St. Agnes Church in San Antonio, entered into eternal peace on July 20 at age 62. He was born on Aug. 5, 1962, in Ascension, Chihuahua, Mexico.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jose Maria Renteria and Amelia Torres Portillo de Renteria; brother, Gerardo Renteria Torres.
He is survived by his brothers, Luis Carlos Renteria Torres and wife, Maria Elisabeth Ayala; Jose Alfredo Renteria Torres and his wife, Alma Delia Perez Olivas; Javier Renteria Torres and his wife, Guadalupe Cano Mena; also numerous nieces and nephews.
A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 25, at St. Agnes, at 804 Ruiz Street. The funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 26, at the church. Services will conclude after Mass.
