Heavenly Father, we gather tonight in gratitude, acknowledging Your presence among us and the countless blessings You bestow. As benefactors and friends of the seminary, we are reminded of the urgency with which You call us to promote vocations. Just as Elisha sought a double portion of Elijah’s spirit, we too boldly pray for an outpouring of Your Spirit upon those discerning the priesthood and religious life.
Almighty God, we thank You for the generous hearts present here, who support the formation of future shepherds of Your Church. Help us, Lord, to widen our horizons, open our hearts, and connect deeply with the Sacred Heart of your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, who reveals Your boundless love and mercy.
As Pope Francis reminds us, “If we are indeed convinced that the Holy Spirit continues to inspire vocations, we can dare to tell each young person to ask whether this is the path that they are meant to follow.” With complete confidence, we cast out the nets, trusting in Your guidance.
Bless this meal, O Lord, and the hands that prepared it. May it strengthen us for the work ahead, as we strive to promote the gift of Christian discipleship and foster a Church that reflects Your love. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
