Yesterday, the United States of America participated in Election Day.

Let us use this time to pray for peace and to foster respectful dialogue. Choose at least one thing to do today to further your faith in prayer and action:

  1. Pray the Prayer After an Election
  2. Read “Pursue What Leads to Peace” from the USCCB;
  3. Learn about and practice contacting your elected officials to make your voice heard throughout the year; or
  4. Join us for Advocacy Day on April 1, 2025 in Austin to represent our Catholic beliefs at the Capitol

What is Advocacy Day?

“Advocacy Day” refers to a day organized by the Texas Catholic Conference of Bishops (TCCB) where Catholics from across Texas gather at the state Capitol in Austin to advocate for legislation aligned with Catholic moral and social teachings by meeting with lawmakers and sharing their views on key issues, essentially acting as a collective voice to influence policy decisions. It’s a day dedicated to actively promoting Catholic causes at the legislative level.
