Help for Petitioners

Petitioners are those who are asking Tribunal to consider a prior marriage for a possible declaration of marriage nullity (or annulment).

Once your case begins, you can submit a request for a status update on your case using the form below.

Witnesses are persons suggested by a Petitioner or a Respondent as someone who can provide testimony regarding their case.

Help for Clergy & Parish Staff

Please contact our office for assistance with questions related to:

  • Providing pastoral care to those seeking declarations of marriage nullity by telephone, email and in-person visits
  • Providing formation and training to Clergy and Lay Ministers regarding marriage nullity and marriage-related forms, upon request
  • Providing one-on-one consultation to Clergy and Lay Ministers seeking assisting with canonical questions, upon request
  • Providing presenters and other support for deanery and parish events designed for those seeking declarations of marriage nullity (such as informational workshops, retreats, etc.), upon request

If any of these apply to you, you may be interested in petitioning the Tribunal for a declaration of marriage nullity!

For Parishes & Deaneries

If your deanery or parish would like to host an event to serve those seeking annulments (declarations of marriage nullity), please contact us! We are eager to support you. We can provide presenters or simply be available for those who would like to ask questions in English or Spanish following your event.

Tribunal Workshops for Submitting Ministers

All Clergy and Lay Ministers, specifically delegated by their Pastors to assist persons seeking declarations of marriage nullity with their petitions, are most welcome to contact us for formation and training. We can bring a Tribunal Workshop to your parish or deanery.
